Admit patient
- Start at Patients

- Select Admit patient.
- Mobile: Select

- Enter the patient details.
- You can add new animals or clients via
in the "Client and animal" field with
Animal or
Client.
- You can add new animals or clients via
- You can also add treatments directly.
- Select Admit patient.
- Once you have added treatments, select Save changes.
Add internal lab order
- Start at Patients
.
- Search for your patient's case.
- In the treatment process select
and select
Internal lab order.
- You can also add new internal lab orders directly when admitting the patient or via Edit case.
- Enter the data and select at least one lab profile.
- Only the lab profiles of your connected lab devices are displayed.
- Each lab profile can only be added once to a lab order.
- Select Send lab order.
Add external lab order
External labs are available once you are connected via vetOS view. In Laboratories
you can view all of the lab’s available services under Lab catalog.
- Start at Patients
.
- Search for your patient's case.
- In the treatment process for the patient, select
and select
External lab order.
- You can also directly add new external lab orders when admitting the patient or by using Edit case.
- Enter all data and select at least one lab profile.
- The fields “Species (lab)” and “Breed (lab)” are automatically changed to meet the lab’s requirements. If this assignment is not possible, select a suitable entry. This entry will be saved for future use.
- For some laboratory profiles, specifying the sample material is required. To do so, select Edit sample details and then choose the sample material.
- The sample extraction date and time correspond to the current date and time. The fields can be changed.
- Place a checkmark on Emergency if the lab order should be processed with urgency.
- Select Send lab order.
- If you want to add a pickup by the courier service, select
Pickup.
- Print out the lab slip and prepare the sample for pickup.
- You can print out the lab slip again at any time. Open a lab order, select
and print out the lab slip.
- Place the lab slip with the sample in the dispatch bag.
- You can print out the lab slip again at any time. Open a lab order, select
All partial and final results will be automatically displayed in vetOS view.
Edit internal lab order
After having sent a lab order, only the name and the responsible team member can be changed.
- Start at Patients

- Search for your patient's case.
- Select the entry and search for the desired lab order.
- If you select a lab order in the treatment process, the treatment record is displayed with a focus on this lab order.
- Select
for the lab order.
- If the treatment has already been finished, editing is no longer possible.
- Edit the data and select Save changes.
Edit external lab order
- Start at Patients
.
- Search for your patient's case.
- Select the entry and search for the desired lab order.
- If you select a lab order in the treatment process, the treatment record is displayed with a focus on this lab order.
- Select
for the lab order.
- If the treatment has already been finished, editing is no longer possible.
- Edit the data and select Send changes.
Send follow-up request
Follow-up requests are only possible up to 6 days after the sample collection date.
- Start at Patients
.
- Search for your patient's case.
- Select the entry and search for the desired lab order.
- If you select a lab order in the treatment process, the treatment record is displayed with a focus on this lab order.
- Select
for the lab order.
- If the treatment has already been finished, editing is no longer possible.
- Add at least one lab profile and select Send follow-up request.
Assign unassigned lab result
A lab result that was sent by a lab device without a lab order having been sent before, should be assigned to a patient.
- Start at Patients
.
- Search for the unassigned lab result.
- Select Assign case.
- Select your patient.
- If a case has already been created for your patient, you can save the lab result directly there. To do this, select the relevant case details.
- Alternatively, you can admit the animal as a new patient by using
in "Case details" and then
Add case.
- Select Save.
Delete lab order / lab result
If you delete a lab order, the result will not be assigned to that patient. Already existing results are deleted.
- Start at Patients

- Search for your patient's case.
- Select the entry and search for the desired lab order.
- If you select a lab order in the treatment process, the treatment record is displayed with a focus on this lab order.
- Select
for the lab order.
- If the treatment has already been finished, editing is no longer possible.
- Select Delete lab order.
- Confirm the query with Delete lab order.
- Please note that the lab order may also have to be deleted on your lab device.
Cancel external lab order
External lab orders can only be canceled if the lab has not yet started processing.
- Start at Patients
.
- Search for your patient's case.
- Select the entry and search for the desired lab order.
- If you select a lab order in the treatment process, the treatment record is displayed with a focus on this lab order.
- Select
for the lab order.
- If the treatment has already been finished, editing is no longer possible.
- Select Cancel lab order.
- Confirm the query with Cancel lab order.
The lab will be notified automatically that the lab order should be cancelled.
